Default Driver's Side Mirror Shakes

I have a 2012 Laramie with the chrome side view mirrors (not the trailer tow mirrors). The driver's side shakes at speeds above 45 mph. It's not a continuous shake, but rather a sudden jerk about once every 5-10 seconds. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and taken it to the dealer for repair? If so, what was the outcome?

No issues like this on my truck, I also had 2 sets of mirrors, one with and one without puddle lights and had no issues with either. Is it Glass loose?

I missed a decimal point. The jerk is every 0.5 to 1.0 seconds. The wheels do not vibrate and the alignment is fine. It's almost like wind building-up inside the mirror housing and then the wind bursts-out, causing the mirror to jerk. I'll take it in to the dealer after school lets out.

My dealer verified the problem today, but said that there is not a fix for it yet. He said that he sent the problem to the Star Center. What is the Star Center?

My driver's side (tow) mirror started shaking about a month ago and my dealership installed a new one under warranty, all good.

Not good though, they washed my truck while it was there, even though it says on my file not to and I reminded the service adviser. It had never been dealer washed before - read with a brush - only hand washed by me. I call already see the swirl marks (brush strokes) from it. I kept it almost swirl free for 42,000 km. This is why I don't like leaving my truck at the dealer alone. So frustrating.

It took me a little over a month to get the new mirror and no more shake.

Just do it how I treat my truck. You're its doctor. Analyze and diagnose the problem. Start taking things apart until you figure out true problem. Most important step : don't forget how to put back together

My driver mirror shakes, so I will take it into the dealer as well.
