Default CANBUS HIDs work in 2013s!

So I know there is a lot of mixed reviews on using the CANBUS HID kits...but I just put my kit in today, just the ballasts and bulbs and they work great! No flickering, warning messages or anything like that. I know there will be more nay-sayers since I'm not using a harness but that's just the risk I'm going to take and see how it goes. But to clarify, I have the projector headlights and I ordered a CAN-BUS HID kit and they work great!

For other members who would like to order the same kits as you, could you post the link and the kit you bought.

Yes, sorry should of done that - http://www.ebay.com/itm/130819157124...84.m1497.l2649

I ordered the 9006 bulbs.

Also, just want to confirm that I read through some of the main HID threads on here and am fully aware of the risk I am taking by not having any harness'...but I'm willing to try it. Like I said, I've only had this kit in for a couple hours, but I went and drove around with the lights on and no error messages and light out messages came on and I let the truck run for about 10 minutes with the lights on and no flickering happened. So if you wanna risk running them without the harness for protection should something happen then I recommend these kits! I'll post back after a week or so and do an update!

Update - did about 2 hours worth of driving tonight with both the fogs and lows on and not one issue. So much better than the stock halogen lights!!

I have a 35w canbus system on the fog lights. Works great. 6000k, wish I would have went 5000k as the 6000k in the fogs look more blue than what I expected. They work great. Got them from hidsrus.com, wouldn't recommend them. Poor customer service, but it works and it isn't expensive. No harness, no flickering, no warning lights. Work good. Low beams... Same kit, passenger side works great. Drivers side light twitches/flickers now and then. Can only tell when you put your hand close to them beam and watch it. Drives me nuts. I am thinking a loose connection possibly. As it doesn't always happen.... Suggestions? Kits been in for just over a month. Some days it flickers, others it doesn't. Always comes on. Could be a ballast or bulb issue too. Hoping it's just a connection.

I replaced the fogs also. I had a cheap ebay digital kit on there with a harness and granted they worked, my driver side fog started not coming on every time. I've only had these kits in for a day now, but so far so good!

I would say it is the ballast and has to do with the outside temperature with cold weather.
You could also change the HID bulbs to 5000K, their not very expensive and easy to change.
Just make sure the connector is correct.

I don't think it's the temperature. It ranges from -25 to plus 5 since I've had it. On colder days or warm days. It's flickered on cold days, and on warm days. I'm thinking about either getting a higher quality canbus kit from euro effects (efx). Or a full kit with wiring harness etc from retro solution or the retrofit source.
