Default My Harbor Freight Cab Lights Installed

I bought a set of cab lights from Harbor Freight for $9 and figured I would give them a try. I don't like bulbs so I converted my cab lights over to LED's. I work for a company who install's LED's in signs and all kinds of applications, so I had some LED's left over and figured I would try them out. They are installed and I am very happy with them. Nice and bright! Tell me what you think.

Nice work man. I'm officially envious. This is something I've thought about doing for years. How easy is it to center everything up on the cab? Did you just run the power wire down the frame to the light plunger on the dash?

Not sure on the other year trucks, but my '01 has the cut outs for the cab lights already. When you pull down the headliner you will see the spots where they molded the truck. All you have to do is drill a hole from the inside up through the factory holes. Pretty simple once you pull the headliner down and see what I mean. I just wired all the lights together and ran the line down the pillar and tied into the parking light wire at the headlight switch.

I dont know how much the LED's are. They are what I use for work. I install them in signs to retrofit them from neon. My company buys them in bulk and I just had some left over from a job and decided to see how they would work in my cab lights. I just smoked my cab lights too. I think they look much better now.
