welded 2 flowmasters on today. not as loud as i expected. could it be because theres no h pipe or xpipe to connect the 2 pipes? all i did was cut off before the cat and add on a piece of pipe to both ends about 2 foot long then a flowmaster 40 at the end of each pipe. dumped. doing tips later. sounds alot better though. when i got the truck it just had the cat on and nothing after that.

on the cracked rim i was talking about. one person said the epoxy on it looks like real heavy duty epoxy and to leave it and add a tube or extra protection. can i put a tube in a tire like those? will a tire shop even mount a tire on a rim that has epoxy on the inside or cracked? supposely its a hairline crack from hitting a pothole.

thanks.

seen a homemade front bumper on a 96 f150 at a junkyard.
wanting to go back and remove it and see if it fits a ram.

anyone know how wide a 96 f150 front bumper is? my ram measured around 75"

a h or x pipe won't increase loudness much at all, they are designed for smoother flow and combining the left and right banks of true dual exhaust systems. it's quieter than you imagine because your running two mufflers.

as for a tube? I have no clue. I ran tubeless bedlocks with massive plastic inserts for a runflat setup, just like humvees run military wise. the whole setup was military lol.

nice.
found 2 3rd gens at a junkyard..thought of getting those bumpers.

found a homemade bumper but its welded to the trucks frame. i'd have to do alot of cutting with a torch. they said they want 50. after they see how heavy it is, they'll probably try to charge me more. i'll post a pic.

if i get a 3rd gen front bumper.. do i order a bull bar for a 2nd gen or 3rd gen? i want to get one of the 130 shipped bull bars off ebay. i assum they bolt to the trucks frame so i guess i'd order the 2nd gen bull bar

found a rubber floor at a junkyard. think they want 20. i use to pay 5 for carpet at another LKQ junkyard. might try to talk them down.

if you rock a 3rd Gen bumper, it has to be 06-08 as they have the smooth tops by the headlights. another thing is that top trim, it's interchangeable between the early 3rd and late 3rd Gen front bumpers.

I had my second n third Gen front bumper brackets mated together to make it bolt on. I pulled it on and off easily with 4 bolts that way.

as for a bull bar, I honestly don't know. the 3rd Gen bulges out considerably more by the grill than a 2Gen so I doubt the eBay one would fit without modification. I ran into that problem looking for light bars to mount my four hellas up front. I finally ended up making my own mounts for the lights out of some scrap steel I had laying around.

are these hood scoops frowned upon in the Ram world?
i'm use to have atleast a cowl hood on my muscle cars. its killing me to have a stock hood.
the hoods for these trucks are way too expensive. thinking of making my own cowl hood.
have an old 3rd gen camaro 2" cowl hood that i could cut the cowl scoop off of.
