did a quick search on google, and the general consensus is you have to replace the whole assembly (balljoint/UCA).

but then i just now read another post saying they replaced just the ball joints it seems. But that also appears to be way more difficult to press the ball joints in/out so if you can afford it, just do the assembly I guess.

Good luck and I hope this helps some.

BUMP for someone with more info

I just did my uppers. The factory manual has them listed as being unserviceable and to replace the whole assembly. I chose not to believe that and went ahead and ordered the ball joints and got the press tool from O'reillys. After spending some time trying to press them out I gave up and replaced the entire assembly with MOOG Upper Control Arms and was done with it.

Order the whole asembly from Rock Auto and it isnt that expensive. The MOOG replacements ARE serviceable for any future Ball Joint replacements.

You can press them in, but it is not worth the difference in time or money and the availability of ball joints are slim at best. Bparsel hit it right on, buy the Moog and be done with it.
