Default Capless Fuel Fill

We recently replaced perhaps the best vehicle I have every owned, an 05 Ram Diesel with a 2013. It became evident pretty quickly that the new capless fuel fill for the diesel was a bust, imo. Ford has used it for some years, and Dodge felt they needed to follow along. The normal small nozzles do not seem to want to do anything but kick off. The one large nozzle that I have tried works better, and will fill at about half speed. The 05 fill would take nearly full flow from the large truck nozzle. So, I have tried several types of pipes to open both fill flaps, and the second gen seemed to help. I have now found a section of sink drain that is the 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 reducer that is about eight inches long. This will help to allow the nozzles to fit into the larger section up top and the smaller section to open the lower flap. Early attempts with two types of fuel nozzles would not allow any fuel to be added w/o just cutting off. At least with a section of pipe I have found that I can fuel the truck. The dealer is looking into the problem and I have called the customer support but this is too new for feedback evidently.
