Pop the hood and take off the radiator overflow reservoir cap (yellow cap) and take a wiff if it smells like dead fish then thats the issue.

Most likely take it to the dealer and start a report.

I took mine yesterday and at first the guy was acting like he didnt smell it and that he never heard of it. Once I popped the radiator cap the guy was like holy crap yea that smells horrible and then they just said bring it back and they will have the "technicians work on it". I left a message with them saying I want to know what that means exactly. So waiting for a call back.

Mine has been fixed. They changed all hoses with a rubber content, double flushed the system, and refilled with fresh coolant.

I have driven it for a week, and about 500 miles. No smell so far. I will keep updating as time goes on.

Since they have determined the root cause of the smell, I assume they have corrected the problem with the casting process and cleaning, but I am assuming that.

I am wondering if they have really "fixed" your issue. I mean most trucks didnt smell until around 3000 miles so if swaping the rubber hoses for new rubber hoses that are still made from the same manufacturer and then just flushing out the stinky coolant with new coolant I am thinking the two will react again and the smell will surface.

Hopefully they changed the hoses with a different makers or something to try and stop this.

Keep us posted on the smells.

Mine started at 1000 ish miles the first time.
The engineers are stating it is not just the rubber hose and coolant reaction, it is the casting residue in combination with the rubber hoses and coolant, and that's why only some are affected- some were cleaned properly.

Time will tell.

I just bought a 2014 ram sport and it too has developed a " dead rat" smell. Took it to dealer and he says they are waiting for a fix from Chrysler. Is that true?

.

You say "just bought" ...... you mean it had an odor as soon as you took it home ?
