Interesting. There is an approved fix.

Print a few pages of this thread. Especially those with info about the fix/solution and take it in to the dealer with you. Might help speed things along. I have done this in the past with other cars and it has helped.

Have your dealer contact Hillview Motors in Greensburg Pa. They saw mine though resolution and were heavily involved with the factory.

Or, Have them refer to Chrysler case number 24067619.

I'll see what they say on Monday. I'm wondering if the flush and new hoses is a permanent fix or not. Are they replacing the antifreeze with the OAT or with good old proven stuff?

Replacing it with the same OAT that was in it. It is not compatible with HOAT and will ruin an engine if mixed. Too hard to re-label, change owners manuals and all documentation.

I should think Chrysler should have emphasized the importance of not mixing coolant. If it weren't for this smell issue that so many are having I wouldn't have known any better with regards to mixing the coolant. If I change my own coolant, I probably would have went with the standard Prestone. I wonder if independent repair centers would have even known or paid enough attention to know. I'm sure if I took it to my dealer they would have put the correct coolant in but I can't bring myself to paying their prices for routine maintenance. Chrysler should have attached a big obvious sticker to the coolant cap warning not to mix or you will destroy your engine.
