We're just waiting for the new hoses to come in...but it stinks. We want to know who is going to pay to have the interior of the truck cleaned & deodorized?
So, is a TSB going to be issued? It'd be a lot easier to deal with this problem as most dealerships are claiming ignorance about the matter.

Hopefully if it is identified then the trucks currently being built are built with the new hoses and not the "stinkers."

6100 miles on my Longhorn and no dead animal smell yet. Even opened the radiator cap a couple of months ago and it smelled like regular coolant. My heat doesn't get used much, so maybe that is why. I know my Ram's exhaust has had an ammonia smell almost from day one of bringing it home. It has lessened, but still get a wiff of it if my Ram is idling and I walk behind it.

All new vehicles have an ammonia smell from the exhaust when new. Some will smell stronger than others.

I noticed the smell yesterday for the first time. I smelled it again today and it dawned on me what it was. It smells like decaying organic material. It's horrible. I have 5500 miles on my 2013. My dealership is lame at best, I can't imagine what they'll say when I bring it in. I need to do my homework and have documentation in hand.

I bought a 2014 Ram 1500 a month ago and have 2500 miles on it. I am getting the bad smell in the cab and confirmed the same smell when I opened the rad cap and took a whiff. Has anyone found a solution? Has Ram confirmed this issue?

Is Kelldog the first non-Hemi with the smell? I may have misread somewhere that the problem was specific to Hemi engine Rams, though Im sure they use the same coolant in all the engines. Just curious, I may have read some wrong information along the way....

Engine does not matter. First stinker was v-6, second was hemi. As I said in earlier post, my second truck was fixed as directed by Chrysler by changing hoses, flushing extensively and adding 2012 orange oat coolant. We were told this is the Chrysler fix and will be made official shortly. Draw your on conclusions on what the problem has been all along.
