Just got the Ram back yesterday after dealer had the truck for two days where they flushed 3 times, replaced all hoses upper and lower with the reservoir. There is no Stink at all. Time will tell for sure in about 3000 miles. Got my fingers crossed! Chrysler Rep. sent me to a Dealer not too far away Called Superior Chrysler in Ashand Ky. The Service Mgr. and crew were excellent!! The Ser.Mgr and another told me it was the first they had smelled or replaced hoses on a Ram. They said the smell was Horrible! Its a shame this was NOT the Dealer where I bought my truck. They provided a loaner, got job completed to include washing my truck with not one single issue or being rude or jackass.

Just got my truck back from getting the uconnect system replaced. Going to geta call from the service manager next week to discuss the smell issue in more detail. In the meantime I think it's time to try the cabin filter mod to at least help the situation.
That's where I purchased my truck. Thanks!

Glad to hear they took care of you. Did they mention whether they installed the same hoses and coolant that were originally used?

The Factory Chrysler Rep. did not say where the hoses came from. Chrysler Rep. ordered my hoses for me told me it would take a week or two for them to come in to the dealer. The Chrysler Rep. did say the Hoses were the Culprit. The invoice repair ticket says flushed three times replaced all hoses, res., and Coolant.
I assume coolant for the 2014 models was used. The Chrysler Rep. told me he would check back after work was completed. I will ask him that question when he calls and update us here as to what his comments were.

Thanks for the info. It would be great if the new hoses solve the problem.

I hear ya. We will see. Possibility 1
It seems to me if it was the hoses that caused the issue would be that all trucks stink. It may be debris in the casts the flush removed the debris after the motor broke it down from heat and use. Must take about 3 to 6 thousand miles to break it down. Then flush the broke down debris replace hoses. If the debris was the issue and still not out of there it will stink again.

Number 2 possibility
May be the idiot receiving Dealer that I had topped it off with the wrong coolant when it came in to dealer from manufacturer. This is one I really think it is. Receiving Chrysler dealer that I was forced to use for the exchange is a complete idiot. I saw new Trucks there this summer with DAMAGE from where they ran in to stuff. New Trucks with broken door handles, side steps dented. just a mess of a dealer. They switched a tonnau cover and bed rung off my 2011 to the New truck rhe cover had to be installed and they trashed my bed rug. Never use DELLEN CHRYSLER in Greenfield Ind. for ANYTHING!! If I would had the Dealer who done this flush job from the start all would have been good I think.

My truck was in for some other warranty work (rattles and the radio). I mentioned the smell. The shop foreman got back to me with the STAR-Case. Basically because this bulletin is out, their hands are tied, and they cant to anything about it until Chrysler says so.

That's exactly what my dealership told me. Hopefully, they'll get the go ahead to start the repairs soon. They asked me to check back with them in a few weeks.

The Chrysler Rep. told me this was the official accepted fix from Chrysler engineers as of about two weeks ago.
