Default 4 inch Lifts

I just got my 2013 ram big horn edition and I am looking to find the best 4 inch lift out there for this particular truck. I am going to put 33s on it. Any help would be great.

First off, if you're going with a 4" lift you'll want bigger than 33" tires. 33" is the stock tire size, you'll want at least 35's.

As far as lifts go... Rough Country makes the cheapest 4" lift kit but I don't like how they use rear coil spacers to lift rather than a new spring. That's why I'd recommend the Zone kit. It's a little more money but I'd rather spend that to get the new springs for the back. Zone is owned by BDS for the record.

Do you have a reason to stick with only a 4"? I'd honestly recommend going with a 6". You can get a 6" RCX kit for the same price or cheaper than the 4" Zone kit and I've heard it's actually only 1.5" higher. You'll probably regret going with the 4" down the road. JMO.

Stock is 33's so you may want to look a little taller. Be careful with width as well depending on what rims you are using.

A 4" lift looks sweet with 35's and perform great!!!

From the reading and research I have done BDS is a good one. The MOPAR lift is made by Superlift and they have good quality. If you have a red truck Skyjacker has always been good to me.

Please explain to me what the colour of a truck has to do with the lift kit you go with.....

Even if components of their lift are red, that means nothing....

This is true, both BDS and Superlift do make good quality kits. But for the price difference over the Zone and RCX kits I don't see them being THAT much better.

Don't get the Mopar lift either.... they put a huge mark up on it just by putting their name on it.

A lot of people spend a large amount of time and money trying to get the perfect color combination on their rigs, don't believe me look through the photos.

So if someone had a red truck and wanted the lift to flow with the look, Skyjacker has red lift components which is exactly what I typed not that hard to understand.

to the OP I have had 2 skyjacker lifts on Jeeps and 1 one a blazer and they were great.

I also would not spring for the MOPAR lift because of the cost but you asked about options and that is one.

BDS would be my choice of the ones I listed.

You could always paint the Skyjacker components a different color if you want to. The decision should be about price and quality, not color lol.

I never said it was hard to understand. It just plain doesn't make sense. Even by your logic of colour coordinating (which I agree lots of people do, myself included), just because Skyjackers components are red doesn't mean they can only go on a red truck. Red components would look great on a black or mineral grey truck as well.

Inferno's quote below is 100% correct.

OP asked for help and I gave him information from BDS, superlift and just because I have experience and wanted to give a little off the wall information I threw skyjacker out there which is a great and quality company.

So I answered the EXACT question asked by the OP.

What I don't get is what it matters to you. You don't like it or understand it that is your problem you didn't ask the question.
