Exclamation will a 2008 5.7L hemi bolt into my 05 ram 1500 ?

So my 05 ram 1500 slt 4x4 (5.7L) needs its engine replaced and i have a 2007 ram 1500 slt 4x4 . What all will need to be done in order to put this engine into my 05 . Will it be a direct bolt in or will the harness , engine mounts, tranny etc need to be changed out ? Any knowledge that could be shared would be greatly apreciated thanks

Yes the 07 motor will work in your 05 with no need to change your harness or mounts. You will need to use the sensors from your 05 motor though as some of the connectors will have changed over the years. Also you will need to use your valve covers and coils from your 05 (unless you want to do a bit of wiring and change the coil pack connectors so you can run the newer coils) as for the mds in the motor you can either just leave it unplugged or pull the solenoids out and get the plugs for the holes. (Mds solenoids are located just under the intake manifold)

Hope this helps you out.
