Default 2013 Ram Concerns

Guys,
My 2013 Ram hasn't come in yet. It's being built now. So far I have $1000.00 invested in having it built. It's a 2013 Ram Express (Flame Red) with the power and luxury Pkgs. the UConnect 5 BT Radio, Chrome Wheels, Bedcover and the integrated trailer brake and IV rated hitch.
I have read about the Key Switch sticking from Acc-Off, the Exterior Paint Problems, the Door and Hood alignment problems.
Is there anything else I should spend time looking for before I take possession of the truck. I'd rather have $1000.00 tied up than take delivery and find out later I've got $27,000.00 tied up and a truck sitting at the dealership waiting on rebuild.
Thanks in advance, I'm glad to have a forum like this to get information. Jim

To be honest I have had my truck for almost 4 weeks with about 1250 miles on it and I have not noticed any problems at all.

Before you take delivery of any Vehicle, go over it from A-Z, take it out for a drive and test it, everything, A/C Radio, Etc. Once you feel comfy with it, sign and take home. Like with anything you may have issues after the fact, shit happens, you might never have an issue. Don't forget, 90% of the post your read are the 15% of the members that had an issue, the other 85% who did not don't post in forums about there great truck. JMO

I had my truck for 2+ weeks no problems. Great truck.

Most important thing to do is READ THE WINDOW STICKER and make sure you are getting what you ordered versus what is on the window sticker. The window sticker is your contract and if something is not on it that you ordered bring it up now.

Second thing is recheck the window sticker! You will be surprised how many times you thought you got something and you didn't get it.

Last thing is look over the final price that you negotiated for and make sure it is the same final number as when you ordered.

Go and enjoy your new truck, you have 3 years & 36000 miles to find fault and get it repaired.

Greg

That makes sense. I'll look it over real good, read the window stickers and test drive it and try out all the functions. Once I trade my truck in on it I will have to use my 57 or 63 no matter what conditions if the new truck has to be worked on. I need the truck to be right when I take delivery. Hopefully it will be. One thing to look at is make sure the rear-end ratio is what it says it is on the window sticker. Crawl under the truck and look at the sticker on the axle housing. Too many have a had a rude surprise after the fact.

If you have warranty issues that need fixing, Dodge will spring for a rental if it's going to be an extended repair.

I have a 1 cm paint flaw just to the right of my hood as you are looking at it. Dodge has already approved the warranty work.

I have to drop my truck off on Monday and the body shop said it will take them a week to fix. Dodge is providing a rental vehicle for the entire week.

Hope that puts your mind at ease a little.

Also check the box alignment to the cab,
The dealership had to move my cab to line
It up with the box.
