Default rear diff has metal rubbing sound

I was told to get a rear axle bearing kit to fix my noise rear axle. It make noise from 15mph and up and on deceleration also. I looked at youtube n heard similar noise on other trucks. I have a 98 ram sport 4x4 with 5.9l and 9.25 axle. Do u think the bearing kit will fix it? Thx for any help.
