A tuner is on my short list of mods to have. I want one to save gas on the eco tune if that is what it is called. I like leading edge technology, but this seems like bleeding edge technology so far. Don't get me wrong I will still get one, but only have the bugs have been worked out and I have no doubt they will. Just moving this mod to the bottom of my list to have.

I have time on my side to give the makers time to resolve the issues.

It doesn't take long for the "bugs" to get worked out the biggest bug in the whole process is having to have the tune sent to you directly from bully dog, just like the first week it was out with for the 11's and then the 12's and then the 11 and 12 4.7's everytime something comes out the first week weather it is from bully dog, superchips, diablo sport, etc. doesn't matter which one there is always an extra step or 2 involved. The tunes are solid I have heard multiple praises on the tuner for the 2013's already with the only down side being getting the tune to the tuner. However there have been a few bugs as well with it causing codes to be thrown which are generally corrected very quick.

If you have an 8 SPEED get the tune sent to you directly from DiabloSport they just got these loaded into the system late this week, and were finishing up today.

Huh?

What do you mean by the truck takes time to settle in to the tune? Who told you this? You should notice EVERYTHING right away not just parts of the tune like shift points.

In all the years I've used tuners - from various vendors - I've never heard and/or experienced anything like this....

Tuners should give you the perks of the selected and/or custom installed tune immediately. At least that's what my past experiences with tuners have taught me.

Respect but you've lost me.......

I believe he is referring to the same thing I was meaning that the computer will adjust to the changes immediately however these newer computer do have an adaptive learning process based off of how you drive and such (at least this is my understanding) and it will make small adjustments, for the most part you should feel the tune from the get go however tunes have been known to get stronger over a day or two (very minimal) however they do from time to time get stronger.

THAT MY FRIEND IS WRONG!!!! 100% WRONG (not screaming or anything just making a loud statement) if they did nothing then some of the fastest N/A trucks around would not run them, so many people would not praise them the way they do, and most importantly you would not see better track times with them.

I'm stuck in limbo with this piece of SHIT.Buy it from Moe then have it setup by Larry and then call Curly next week to get it tweaked. What a joke, alls you have to do is jump through hoops and beg and pray to find out next week that it probably sucks.I'm so pissed!!!
The first question it should have asked you when installing it on the truck is if you wanted to tune stock, regular or performance. Those are the different tunes that require different octanes. Stock and regular you can run 87, performance requires 91.

Yes, what Jeremiah said. These trucks have adaptive computers. They will adjust the truck according to your driving style, mods, etc. That's why it is recommended that you unhook the battery when doing mods such as exhaust, CAI, throttle body, etc. It resets the computer to then allow it to learn the truck again with the new mods. I know it seems a little weird but that's just how it is now. The technology in these trucks is fairly advanced compared to even 5 years ago. So yes it does take a little time for the tune to settle in. I have definitely noticed it with mine and I've talked to many other people who have experienced the same thing. Asur being one of them.

Doesn't it seem strange to anyone that no one has come on and posted how happy or satisfied they are with the BD they got for their 2013!

Its either you're happy with it or not. Return that POS! and exchange it for a torque converter is my vote. You have enough seat time to know that will give you what you are looking for. Unplug you battery for THAT for a few minutes at the track before your first run

there's quite a few things I plan on doing before considering a tuner, but yes, this would make me hesitate a bit to buy one of these things. It seems like there's some issues that still haven't been worked out.

If I didn't know better I'd say Ram made these things lol
