The guy I learned 90% my sh!t from goes by the username catsltd
Grant runs the exact same tires on his 2x4 RC long box at 13.5's NA
He told me "the only guys at the track that will say it looks stupid, is the one you just beat"
He was right, and its usually a guy in an R/T running 22's lol!!
..or a lifted duramax/powerstroke on 35's and 8" lift
I swap tires for track events for several reasons:
1) lighter weight
2) better traction
3) reduced effect gear ratio (4.30:1 vs 3.55:1)
4) reduced rolling resistance and less rotational mass
5) lower ride hieght by almost 3" for better aerodynamics
Bottom line, drops over a half second off my ET's 14.4's to 13.8's
I dont care what it looks like and most of my runs are after dark on Friday nights
so nobody can rally see it anyway, at least my 10' RCSB 4x4 has a 2/3 drop
which sits like a 4/6 hieght on my DR's
