That would be outstanding.

You need more than the software, licensing and hardware interface.

what the toyota guys did at the forum I belong for stuff like this was., everyone chipped in and bought the interface cable and softeare and then just took turns using it.

so we coulod pass it along for anyone who wants to turn on the DRLs.

just and idea if it expensive.

I will say, the LED lights on this truck are SUPER bright and would be cool DRLs being amber.

anyone else notice that when you turn on your signal it lights up every sign at the entire intersection LOL?

they come on when you use remote start and I think it looks bad ass with those on and no lights

Those that find some way of doing this mod needs to be aware that if you ever need any dealership service that requires any system updates, they will most likely clear the mod back to default.

It's very much possible when you read this Recall for 3,000 Rams that were sent to Canada but the computers were not set to Canada therefore they did not have DRL's on arrival:

http://media.chrysler.com/newsreleas...=13632&mid=431

Someone posted a list of Recalls in another thread here and this is one of them:
RC-CM40-12
SAFETY RECALL M40 - ENABLE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS

Can anyone access the recall fix procedures? That would give us all the steps necessary to turn the LED DRL's on. I assume a dealer could look up the Canadian Recalls as well?

Everyone may already be aware of it but I haven't seen where it has been mentioned. Does everyone know that there is a RAM assembly plant in Saltillo, Mexico?

Here ya go, the steps my son did to enable my DRLs

Using the Chrysler Diagnostic Engineering Tool:
He selected the BCM, ECU Configuration 2 (CBC Features), DRL Configurations. From the drop down he selected Canadian DRL.

Next he selected DRL Lamp Location, (just below DRL Configurations) and from the drop down selected Turn Signal DRL.

Last, he clicked on the write button, cycled the ignition, and wala, DRLs are on again.

Sorry the pictures of the computer screens are blurry (guess the phone camera didn't like the screen) but you can make out the data.
