bought a CAI on ebay, not thinking about the heat and aluminum i went with the aluminum piping. my question is, do you think plasti dip would keep the heat out of the intake? seems easier than buying heat wrap or fabbing a heat shield for it. TIA

should be okay. A buddy of mine did the exhaust tips and rear diffuser on his 370Z and it has lasted him a year now.

yeah, i figure it will last. im just wanting to know if it will keep the hot air out of the intake. as of now it comes in cold and gets heated up from engine heat, so it defeats the purpose of a "cold" air intake LOL

have you checked out heatshield paint? you can always buy a spray can of that and then coat it with plasti dip after.
