Unhappy 02 Dodge Ram. cylinder 7 misfire..Dodge says it's Bad Valve Guides..

I bought my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 litter (for better gas rather than hemi 5.9) Quad Cab SLT used with 129,000 miles it ran GREAT! Vroom Vroom ; ) thennnnn Check engine light came on...I changed the Plug & Coil and dodge switched them out and said it wasn't the prob...they told me it wasn't a fallen Rocker Arm

I have rough bumping idling & can't go about 40-45 with HARDDDDD bumps just scary stuff so if I need to drive I stay below or at 40 (

I never noticed any dark smoke or burning coming from my truck isn't that a huge sign of warn valve guides? Idk really anything about mechanics I am just trying not to get ripped off & learn.

Dodge says 1700 dollars to fix this issue. Any advice?
I am taking it to get fixed ASAP!
Thank you so much for reading my thread!!!!!
I'm a NEWB to this site

I would change the Fuel injector on cylinder 7. Most misfires usually end up being a bad injector. When you say bump what exactly do you feel or hear besides the misfire?

you can do a compression test on #7. That would tell you if the dealer is right or if its something else.

Look at the spark plug.
White is lean combustion can be the injector
Deer brown is good
Black is too rich
Black and greasy is oil and could confirm the dealer.
And then like already mentioned a compression test.
