Default 2013 Ram 1500 crew, 5.7L V-8, 8 speed, 4x2 window sticker?

Can someone post there window sticker for their 4x2 Ram 1500 crew cab truck that came with a 5.7L V8, and the 8 speed transmission? 3.55 gears preferred, but I'll take what I can get. My dealer is claiming the truck they ordered me, that was supposed to have the 6 speed in it, but was ordered with the 8 will get as good of city MPG as the 6 speed would get for highway MPG. Unfortunately the only 8 speed stickers I can find online are in 4x4's.

Not sure if any have been built yet, but if the 4x2 with Hemi/8-speed follows the same path as the 4x4 with Hemi/8-speed it should be 1 MPG better city and highway than the 4x4. My 4x4 Longhorn is rated for 15 city, 21 highway. I would expect the 4x2 to be rated at 16 city, 22 highway. I think the 4x2 with hemi/6-speed was rated for 14 city, 20 highway. By the way, Ram only rates one configuration for 4x4 & 4x2. They don't rate the mileage by the rear end so regardless of rear end, it will have the same rating. That is where the tiny print under the larger numbers comes in where they give a much larger range that it will likely be in.

That would indicate there's going to be a huge backlog when they finally start building them. Why would Chrysler make the 8 speed the default selection for the 4x2 Laramie, if they aren't even building them yet? I could care less about 2 MPG, I just need a truck by mid July for our vacation. What are the odds of that happening?

I'm in the same boat as you (kinda). I ordered 4/18 and really need my truck by 7/15 for my vacation. Dealer told me that's not a problem at all and I should have the truck in the next couple weeks. I don't think she looked up anything and was saying what I wanted to hear though.

I would get the ZF 8 speed in a hot second, if i was in the market for a new vehicle

The Chrysler 6 speed, 65RFE is so outdated, why would anyone want one ??
before it was a 6 speed, it was a 5 speed, 545RFE & before that a 4 speed, 45RFE in 1999
same case, same planetaries, maybe a valve body modification & torque converter change

the assembly plant will still be running for another 6 weeks probably
so if they plan on building a 2013 Ram HEMI with the 8 speed & 2 wheel drive this year, they still have time

In 3 weeks, you will be able to order a 2014 Ram
Assembly won't start until the 3rd week of July
possible delivery in late September to early October

chances are that they won't build & deliver a Hemi Powered, 8 speed, 2 wheel drive in time for your vacation in July, unless they are building them already

After looking at this issue of accepting orders for 4x2 truck with Hemi/8speed as in my case 1-17 and not building them for several months and giving no reason why they haven't built them is do to many issue and we may never known. However, one reason might be they make more on 4x4 that's why they are being built now.Don't forget even though the truck haven't been built the orders are still there and when mfg's build a truck or car when it is finished they get sales credit so why not stuff your dealers with 6 speed trucks for sales as well and then start shipping 8 speeds.
Might not be good for customers, but great for sales.

Eventually, if it's not good for customers - it WILL NOT be good for sales!

If you need a truck by mid July I don't think I would take a chance ordering one. I would buy one as close to what I wanted from a dealer's lot. I have had mine on order for 4weeks already and still only at the production scheduled status.

You should get it by July if able to order it. I ordered my Sport HEMI 8-speed 4x2 wuth 3.93 on Jan 15th and just hit "production scheduled" recently. They will shut down this summer and start on the 2914 models so all 2013 will be built before that. Finally as far as im concerened lol
