Yep if they're jackasses I wouldn't deal direct with them either. Guess that 2014 is calling your name

I'm very loyal when it comes to dealerships..... to a point.

When I was looking for my Tahoe - with factory installed specifics that I wanted [not dealership installed] - there was only 2 on the East Coast at the time; both a mirror image of one another. One was in Maine and the other was in North Carolina. Seeing as NC was a lot closer, I did the trip South for an up-close and personal.

I did the drive to NC to view it in person as I wasn't comfortable, at the time, potentially purchasing blindly. I purchased it the same day and drove back to VA. Why didn't I get my GM dealership, who I've been dealing with for almost 10 years and 6 vehicle purchases AND are literally a stone's throw from me, to do a trade? I didn't feel comfortable spending pennies short of 60K on a vehicle I'd never seen.

But of course, it's your call. Frankly, based on your experience you've posted, I don't blame your actions at all.
Exactly my point. I really don't want to buy it without seeing it in person. I kept asking for pictures and they kept him-hawing around. They said it's new, no scratches. I replied just because it's new, doesn't mean it is blemish free. I also want to verify the equipment because sometimes the PDF window sticker is wrong. They just don't get it. I finally told them to stop emailing me.

My thoughts too. I am crazy about the 8 speed, but hate the rotary knob. This kind of truck needs a console shifter. They say there is no need for one because the 8 speed uses a fly-by-wire linkage, but they could still rig it up to use if they want to.

How do you know? There is very little known about 2014s, so please state your source. I heard the 8 speed will be behind all HEMIs and the 6 speed behind the 4.7.

Like stated, the cards are in the hand of the dealer with the truck you want. I ordered a unique colored turbo Subaru Forester. I told me local dealer get/find me the truck I wanted or I will find it myself and you will get nothing from the sale. I found three other trucks with the equipment I wanted in the nation and started making calls. I could have the truck shipped from any of the three dealers at the same price I negotiated at my local dealer. I communicated this with my local dealer and magically they made a deal to get what I wanted. Good luck in your search...I would check autotrader.com nationwide and sift through the results. I bet you will find what you want. I was looking for an R/T late last year and saw a several in that color that were being offered really cheap at the end of the year. Its hard to think there were a bunch left last year, but none left this early in the current year.

I know, there should be more than the one but there is not. Not in that color. I wish I could go back at the end of last year but my financial situation was not what it is now.

From what I hear there will be no R/T for 2014 as it is being replaced by the Sport.
