Congrats Horseman. Glad you finally got your ride. Not the 1500 you have been waiting for, forever. I don't blame you for not waiting any longer. Nice looking truck. Will be interesting to hear how well you get along with the new diesel. Have you had a diesel before? When you hook up to something heavy, you can't beat a diesel. For towing, you can't go wrong with a Cummins diesel. I did finally get my Longhorn 1500 last week and I am satisfied so far.

The MSRP was about 62K-rolled out the door at about 54K-only a 1500.00 rebate.

kxlexus: I've been following your posts for some time. Appreciate you hanging in there with me. My 1500 (now someone else's 1500) is built, but just sitting in Michigan. They have pushed shipping back 3 times as of last check (last week). It'll arrive...sometime. The dealer just couldn't explain things. Gave me a great deal I thought (on both trucks), and gave me back my 500 dollar down payment on 1500.

Great truck Fantastic color the 2500 will defiantly not disappoint anything that you need help with I'm here for ya.
I'm jealous the amount of torque you have.

Thanks, bud. I'm a previous diesel owner (Ford), and sold it saying I just couldn't justify it. Now the wife wants a camper, so I'm back in a diesel again. Diesel is cheaper in Arkansas for the first time--maybe ever!

Congrats Horseman, that's a beautiful truck. The 2500 is probably better suited for you anyway. Now you won't have to think twice when you want to tow something.

Trust me, you'll be much happier with the CTD. I sold my 06 CTD for my 2012 1500 and I highly regret not spending the extra penny for the CTD. Now I am in the process of selling my 1500 and getting back into a CTD 2500 4x4. In the long run you will be much happier.
- Great resale value
- Better MPG under loads
- Better truck imo

Thanks everyone! It's getting tint today, and I hope to do the cabin air filter mod this weekend. I also have some vent visors I'll put on. Can't wait to hook up the horse trailer.

FordA: I thought we had lost you. Have not seen you around in a while! Thanks again.

That's a nice truck I love the cummins we had an 04 and sold it with 323k miles on it two years ago I wish I would have bought it. The dealer only offered him 5k and it was still in good condition and rode as good as my 1500.
