At first glance it looks like a Reese Elite gooseneck ball (Ford 2011 and up) might work (etrailer site) but not sure. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks! Lets see a pic of the 3500!

Thanks topgun. That gooseneck hitch is definitely the way to go if you did not order the tow prep package. Wicked easy install & great products. I spoke with B&W yesterday about a ball that could be used with the prep pkg. Do not have anything that would work. Asked where I was located so I could drop by to check it out. I will try to get in touch with Curt today to see whats available.

Just got off the phone with Curt rep and Reese (Cequent sp.) Rep. Curt said they are not the company building the gooseneck ball for the ram prep package. they refereed me to Reese. Reese rep said that the ball has not been completed yet and did not know of a date that they would be available. When asked if the Reese elite series pop-in ball would work he said no. Gave my # and email and he indicated that he would contact me with an estimated arrival date for ball. THIS BITES!

I just went through this ordeal with my dealer to get a 5th wheel hitch in my 2013 2500. After a month of waiting Curt finally told the dealer how to modify the 2011 brackets to work on my truck. I have towed a couple times with it now and it works great!

Saw your posts regarding the 5th wheel install. Glad it is working out for you and safe towing. I am running gooseneck only (horse trailers) so just need the ball that will fit prep package setup. Shame on me for thinking it would be included or for that matter even the bed hole covers/ plugs as well. Seems strange that the receiver would be designed and available for install but not a suite of 2 5/16" (most common size) or 3" corresponding balls. So basically we are buying a pretty expensive truck with useless holes in the bed. Cheers to B&W for releasing their turn over ball setup yesterday. Wish I knew they would beat Ram and their contracted company to market. It would have been money better spent.

Ok. Yeah I hear ya! My dealer told me that Mopar is usually about 9 months behind getting aftermarket stuff out (like hitches). Did you order the B&W then?

No. Doesn't make much sense to order B&W, remove all of the dodge stuff and have 4 useless holes in the bed of the truck. Figure I already payed for it once. Why spend additional $$$ to get to the same place.

So B&W doesn't use the holes that Dodge provides???

Based on a view of the install video previously posted above, the only hole that would be usable is the center hole. B&W plate is different from prep pkg. provided plate and 4 tie down holes are further apart and setup to accept the dodge 5th wheel. B&W break-away chain mounts are installed close to the ball and thru the B&W plate. Dodge system really looks similar to the Reese Elite Series for the newer Ford Super Duties.
