Default Rough running hemi quesiton

Hello everyone, Im a not new to the site, but I did just register. I have a 04 qc hemi that im having a problem with and was wondering if anyone could possibly give me a little guidance. I have always done my research, and for the most part found my answers but I just cant figure this one out. First off about 6 months ago I broke a valve spring on cyl 5, I bought a whole set of springs, but only had enough daylight to get the 1 done, so today I had a whole day off from my shop and figured I would get the rest of them done. Everything was put back together and now it runs almost as if it has a dead miss. I put the snap on solus from my shop on it, and don't have a miss on any cylinder, I put my vacuum gauge on it and its not a valve opening/closing problem, It has no codes, and no valve noises, I pulled the valve covers off and turned the motor over and all rockers are moving like there supposed to, I let it sit for a while thinking maby the lifters need to settle, but its still running rough. If someone could possibly shoot me in a direction,. Im sorry the post is so long, I just wanted to give you all the details on what I have done so far. Thank you in advance. -chris-

Default I guess i will reply seems like no one else does

Hey man i got a 03 with the same stuff i have changed plugs, wires, coils and injectors , reset the pcm and ecm. seems like 1 and 2 or still missing runs better up to speed but idles like shit. havent checked the valve springs compression tests were good so didnt think it was a engine problem. If u didnt reset the pcm it would be a start, pull the fuse under the hood turn the key to on then off couple times that should do it it wouldnt hurt to pull the neg off the battery for 30 mins too hope that helps man

Thank you for the reply, in the 7 or so hours I was changing the valve springs I had the battery disconnected, and the pcm completely unhooked in order to get to the passanger side. I would think it would have reset, but ill give it a shot. If your still having a miss after replacing all those parts, try getting a vacuum gauge and hooking it to motor. While its idling it shouldn't bounce much, if its all over the place, it might be a sign that you have a collapsed valve spring.

Yes, i used factory 5.7 replacement springs from dodge, , i also checked all the coils and plug wires for there correct location. I have 2 mini ground straps, one on each valve cover that were both hooked back up and the main grounds from the computer are hooked back up. It seems like a mechanical miss across all cylinders. Also, the truck ran fine before i put the new springs on. I had a question though, the new springs i got had steel sleeves on them, with a 1" gap. Do they need to be positioned to were the rocker arm sit, to allow the spring to drop lower, or does it not matter? Thank you.

Problem solved, the pushrod wasn't seated into the rocker cup fully. What a pain

bingo..glad you figured it out..I thought it would be something mechanical and in my mind I thought it was in the valvetrain somewhere...
