That's amazing man.
My daughter is near to this as well.
Not into the under hood aspects, but does like helping daddy clean the truck.. Either it's the love to help or the allowance she gets. Haha

Great idea on the water management too.

All you need to buy is 2 Elbows and 4 Tube Clamps. After spending as much as you already did on the cover, whats another $5-10. Plus the Elbow will protect your tubes from being pinched if you put stuff in the bed, and both ends will be properly secured so they don't come loose. Hope this helps...let me know if you go this route, and make sure to pass it on to others with BakFlip covers!

Awesome work, it looks really clean. Is the clear tubing 1/2 inch? I think the installers may have cut the tubing too short for me to do this mod and I may have to buy more. Looks way better than the job the pro installers did.

Sorry I missed your follow-up post Rob....I've been on vacation and slightly distracted. I used the 3/4"OD (~1/2"ID) Tubing that came with the BakFlip cover, but Lowe's had the exact same Clear Vinyl Tubing in their plumbing department. They have large spools on the shelf so you can cut/buy the length you need....I believe they sell it by the foot so you could get new tubing for a few bucks. It fits perfectly over the 1/2" Ribbed Elbows I mentioned in a prior post...just grab 2 of those, 4 Hose Clamps and match your current Drain Tube material up to what they have. Good luck!

I have a 1500 Laramie with Ramboxes and the BakFlip F1. This is a great cover, but I can't seem to figure out a way to get it completely waterproof. It seems that there is always water getting in between the rail and the bed. Not much, but it would be great to stop it. Has anybody had the same problem, or is it just my truck?

Do you have the 6'4 box?

I too have a bit of a water issue, and Bak will simply not return calls or emails!

My cover is great and doesn't leak at the seams at all, the only issue is at the back where the cover meets the gate. There is a bit of a gap there, but the drain caps that are supplied are suppose to take car of that water.

Sadly though, the drain caps weren't done correctly and Bak has just walked away.

I would still recommend the cover, but can't say the same for their staff.
