Many years ago I locked my keys in my 05' GTO. I went thru hell-n-back trying to get in. I swore I wouldn't go thru that ever again. I've had HitchSafe HS7000T Key Vault on every vehicle since with spare keys and other tidbits.

Highly recommended.

Hahaha at first I looked at the picture I thought...."so the hitch receiver is just capped at both ends. Doesn't seem smart to leave your valuables in there like that"

Then I checked it out on Amazon. That thing looks brilliant. It will definitely have to go on my list of mods I need to get! Thank you!

That's the thing, and the beauty of the product, as I'm sure K9ENDY will attest to, it has a very stealth, under the radar appearance. It almost looks like your regular run-o-the mill hitch cover.

I've never had a single person point it out and ask "What is that?" in all the years I've owned it on the vehicle's it's been on.

I keep a small garage remote in mine, my spare fob, spare house keys, a pre-paid credit card and some cash in case of an emergency. I do have the pre-paid and cash in a small ZipLock bag however, like I mentioned before, I've never seen a spec of water or debris of any type inside the compartment.

Also, as K9ENDY mentioned in his review thread, it's VERY well constructed!

Truck was sold today [5/19]. I got an offer I couldn't turn down. I had no more need for a pickup so I cut it loose. About to purchase a '14 Jeep SRT8 this week.

Grub out!
