Default 2013 12mpg

I don't know if its the way I drive, or I shouldn't trust the EVIC but I have a 2013 bighorn CC 5.7 6 speed with 3.55 and it says I get 12 average, on a great day 14. I know that I bought a truck so i'm not going to get 34+ but I just want to make sure nothing is wrong because everyone else seems to be around the 16-18 mark. I am at 3200 miles if that makes a difference.

Hows the terrain in your area, i know on flats my '13 hemi will get close to 20, but as soon as i hit the Adirondacks she gets thirsty...highway of course, in the city ill get roughly 8-14 depending on how bad my road rage is that day

Its not flat but its no mountain, more of constant rolling hills. Makes me feel a little better though because I was really starting to think I was the only one getting lower mpg.

I just had 20 mpg US on the highway over the weekend. Mostly flat with some hilly areas. How fast were you driving. I drive at 107 km/h. Not sure what that is in mph

107 km/h = 66.49 MPH

you begin getting your best mileage at about 4,500 miles
if you have 2 drivers, your computer will always try to adapt to each driver & your mileage will always be lower

If you are driving in typical traffic with slows and accelerations you have a 395HP motor that will drink like one and you will see poor MPG. I drive light on the throttle and typically see 12-14 in this type of normal city traffic, wait at a stop light, accelerate to 40MPH and drive one mile, wait at the next stop light, etc. On the freeway if you keep the speed under 70MPH and are relatively flat you can take advantage of all of the gas saving technology and should be getting upper teens, I typically see 18-22 in this situation with my 6 speed and 3.55s.

I never thought about 2 drivers affecting things, good call yankee!

I'm consistently between 12.0-12.5 mpg. Almost all of my driving is city, stop-n-go.
I also drive too aggressively.

If I really baby it I get around 13.2-13.5 mpg, but that's no fun.

At just over 4,000 miles the lifetime average of my truck is 13.35 mpg. Sometimes my wife commutes in it and the bad traffic is probably bringing the average down. Highest I've gotten to a tank of gas was 14.36 mpg.

With cruise control on and flat road ahead the instant fuel economy numbers stay in the low 20's but as soon as there is a hill or I have to speed up it goes way down. It also doesn't help that if you drive less than 5mph over the limit on a Texas freeway you will likely get plowed into...

My first truck was a 1974 Mazda Rotary PU, it averaged 16 mpg. Next truck was a 1994 Mazda B3000, also 16 mpg, next truck was a 2000 Tacoma V6 with a supercharger, yup 16 mpg. I bought my 4X4 QC hemi Ram in 2005, since then it has also averaged 16 mpg! However, now our gas is ethanol crap, my Ram weighs 6,000 lbs and is about 10X more truck than the others. I'd try your Ram on the highway at 60-65 mph, bet you will see 20 mpg.

My Hemi Quad usually got around 14 mpg when I drove in traffic near my winter home in Fort Myers Beach. On the 1,700 mile trip to my summer home in Vermont I got 20.2 mpg. The mileage goes away if you travel much over 70 mph. I had three of these and they are all the same. Only one had 3.55 gears but there was no difference.
