Default Added LED lights to the footwells

First I found the dome light wire and added a power wire to it.

Then, added some shrink tube and put it back in the harness.

I ran the wires under the dash and added a light strip on each side.

I ran the wire under the thresholds to the rear under seat storage area.
Then, I added two light strips to the front of the storage area under the rear seats.

When the seats are folded down, you can't see the strip, just the light from them.

The green matches the dash lights, and look a little "other worldly" Ha.
My overhead/dome lights are all green LED as well.

Nice looks really good!! I have the same lights but in blue and only under my dash in the front. Looks to me like you wired them up a little differently than me though. Yours just come on when you open the door or turn the dome light on correct? I wired mine right into the dash lights so that they come on whenever my lights come on which gives me a blue underglow under the dash at night.

Do it! I've done it on all 3 of my vehicles within a couple weeks of buying them. To me it's weird not to have it now, it's too dark at night inside the cab without them.

Walmart actually sells some really good LED strip lights. They have 3M tape on them so they stick really well and come in either 12" or 4" strips. I used two 8" ones on the drivers side on either side of the hood release and one 12" stip on the passenger side mounted on the metal behind the glove box hinge. Definitely a mod worth doing IMO.

I have always like the accent lighting. I am not sure why it never caught on as an option in American autos. My Audi A4 and my Acura MDX both have it. It creates a nice ambiance.

I originally hooked up my car foot-well lights like that, but I did not like them on all the time at night.

Yeah, you are right when you hit the remote or open the doors these turn on, then fade out after a while. I like them best that way.

I bought 6 of these. I used 4 for the foot wells. I am not sure if I want to put the other two behind the grille or under the bed rails?

This post helped me.

http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread....ome+light+wire

I just did not like the lights on the seat bottoms. If you fold the seats up, they light up the whole truck. I sometimes drive with my dogs back there, I don't want their nails on the leather. The fold out platform works great for the dogs and it protects the light, where I have them installed.
