I read the latest PDFile on the 2013 Ram radios
i started at page 80 & read it through to where the RA4 radio section began
it was mostly about the VR part of the unit

In the part that i read, there was a page that explained how to turn OFF the Surround Sound, that is like Movie or Home Theater Mode

I had a radio in one of my other vehicles, where you could set it to Talk mode, Music mode, etc.
Music sounded terrible in Talk radio mode
I can only imagine what Movie mode would do to your Music
the music would almost be garbled, blended, etc.

Yes I've been trying all day today. I even called customer care and the guy said they expected to have the site up and running within an hour. That was a noon.

Wellll ... I just decided to do the update, just to get the responsiveness from the screen and the improved GPS performance.

I did format my USB memory stick at FAT32 .. downloaded the image, and followed the instructions to the T - I usually don't do that .. but in this case, I really had to reduce any potential issues.
Update took about 10 mins or less.
So far so good.
Screen touch is much more responsive.
GPS calculates routes much faster.
EQ control really provides much better sound control (I had just too much BASS) prior to the update .. now IMO the sound gets much more balanced (based on my sound listening preferences).
The sound volume is still LOUD - mind you I also have the ALPINE system, some owners have been reporting lower sound volumes.
All in all, pretty good so far .. I updated from 13.10.6

Hi, I used the following link to download:
https://rsur.extra.chrysler.com/rsur/Uconnect.do
download was pretty fast .. guess that is relative to you download connection and speed.
Also note, I do not use wireless at home, when downloading (which I do a lot) - I am wired up to my router.
Regards
