Default Bumper repair suggestions

Ok so unfortunately I had a little accident in the truck. Well not my fault, but my girlfriend accidentally backed into my truck there are some pics below. This happened a while ago, but its really starting to get to me. Now from what I know this is actually just a bumper cover and I have 2 options of repairing. I could either replace the whole thing or get this repaired. A local shop (bumper medic) said it would be 325 to fix the dent and repaint. I have no clue how much it would cost to just replace it, but I'm guessing a lot being mine is 2013 I'd have to get it from the dealership and still get it painted. I was going to wait until I lifted and just get a ADD bumper, but I don't really want to fork out 1500+ for a bumper. So I need some opinions on how to repair this thanks guys.

Personally, I would take the bumper off the truck, and try using mild heat (not enough to melt, but enough to make it more plyable). then try pushing the dent out from the back side. That will hopefully take the large ding out of it.. There may be a light wave in the surface after that.. Hopefully the heat will also let the plastic go back to it's original shape.. Again, don't use too much heat..

With it off the truck and straightened, then you can paint if needed without masking the whole truck for the overspray. Or you can take it somewhere and get it painted at a lower cost.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

I was thinking of doing that, but I really just want it to look like its brand new. It sucks to have a dent like this in a brand new truck. I'm leaning towards having this one repaired just looking for some opinions from you guys. I'm going to stop by the dealer and see what they have to say about it to.

If you look at the fog light there is also a gap I don't know if the light is bent back or if it is just from the dent in the bumper.

WHAT? And she's still breathing? LOL. But seriously, what about going through her insurance? Or yours. What is your deductible?

Trust me I was furious lol, but it was a mistake. Both of our deductibles are higher than the repair cost would be. She is "paying for it", but I'm trying to keep cost down because her paying is the same thing as me paying. To make it worse she has a brand new Audi with a back up camera and back up sensors, but she decided to hop in her car and back up instantly without looking back.

The bumper is not torn, so there is no reason that a good body shop can't get the dent out and refinish the bumper.. At least it will save the cost of a new bumper from the dealer.. Unless the dealer has a body shop in it (which mine does not).. Where the body shops need to replace bumpers is when the bumper has a texture to it. The Ram bumper is smooth so it can be refinished.

Do you this 325 is a good price for this repair? This the quote I got from a reputable shop that a few people recommend me to.

I would use Bumper Doc or Medic
you could also check with a PDR guy for pricing
a PDR guy charged me $50 for a door ding, normally they charge $75
