I dislike my 3.55, It feels like the tranny never knows what to do. The truck either has no power or too much of it. I'd prefer the 3.92. MPG is negligeable when you consider the Hemi V8 aspect of this truck. So i'd recommend the 3.92 regardless.

On a recent trip in Utah I was driving on a 80mph highway. With 3.93 gears and 33" tires I was pulling 2100 rpms in 6th and averaging 17 mpg.

I have 3:92's and my co worker has 3:55's, we make the same drive to work with him averaging 1 mpg better on a full tank of gas than I do. his truck is a 2011 mine is a 2010.

I've got the 3:55 in my 09 and it seems like it does a great job pulling my 4000lb trailer. No complaints at all. The other 99% of the time not towing it's nice to know I am getting the better gas mileage no matter how small of a number that is compared to the 3:92 gears.

I have 3.55's in my RCSB, and actually love them. Not that I do it much, but they will absolutely launch the truck from a rolling start, and the kick-down while passing seems, to me, to be phenomenal!

I am scrapping the the 3.55's for some 4.10's. I do mainly stop and go, with towing and some highway cruising. For me, it's a personal preference. That big lug needs to get moving faster, and those 20" wheels make the already clumsy 3.55's even more lathargic. Nothing less than 3.92's should have been put on this truck.

I don't have an issue with my 3:55s in mine.

I gots 3.55's and I pull a 26 ft Holiday trailer. Truck seems to work fine - no up down shifting occurring in Tow Mode. Gas mileage is okay - not spectacular but it's a heavy truck! We don't have big hills here but we do have some long grades - that is unless I go to the Rocky Mountains which are an hour away - truck still pulls like a champ! I am sure with the 3.92's it would be zippier - but then again I still say it's a heavy truck with big tires.
