Default First Ram 1500 + Lift Kit Question

Bought my first Ram 1500. I've always owned Tundra's and F-150's but I decided to test drive a Ram one day and fell in love with it. I'll admit that I was reluctant or hesitant to buy it at first because I've always heard some horror stories about issues with Dodges, but I suppose you can hear those about each manufacturer from time to time.

Anyways, I get to pick the truck up tomorrow, and I know for a fact that I'll at least put some type of leveling kit on the truck, but I'm interested in putting a 2 - 3 inch lift kit on the truck. I do a lot of driving so I don't want to ruin the ride, so I don't mind spending a little more for a good lift. I appreciate any feedback or recommendations that yall might be able to give me.

hey man welcome to the forum, as far as the lift goes, id put 5100's on all 4 corners, set the fronts to max an put a 1.75 coilspacer in the back that will give you a good bit of lift without ruining ride quality thats just my .02 tho, but then again my truck lifted rides way better than it ever did stock

Yup, the Bilstein 5100 adjustables for the front are the best way to level the new Rams. They can lift up to 2.8" on the front. Personally I wouldn't put a full 1.75" spacer on the back as you will still have a lot of rake. A 0.75" or 1" would be a better choice IMO.

I've got a 4" ProComp lift on my 09. The ride is still pretty good. 4" looks good up front, but the down fall for me was the "ass up in the air" look. Pulled out the 4" rear kit and installed 2 1/4" rear coils spacers from Top Gun Customz. Sits level now. If you got the cash the 5100's are the way to go.

Welcome to the site! I suggest you take a look around at some of the member's trucks and decide how big you want to go. You are only limited by your imagination and your wallet! LOL

If you have the cash get the 5100's. I wish I did but after buying my 13 I didn;t have that much left over right away so I am still running a 2" spacer. No complaints rides like stock and fits well with my 285/60R20's i had swapped on from my 09. I plan on doing the 5100's down the road though. Guys at BP on here will give you a good price then just install and be happy.

Hey Jeremiah,

I recently purchased a 13' Ram Laramie 1500 Quad 4x4 and am looking to have the vehicle leveled also.

Would you be able to provide the x4 Bilstein Shocks needed? If you can, what price are you able to sell them for?

Sorry to thread jack, I was informed I am unable to PM forumz members due to not having posted 25 or more times

Also if there is another means of contacting you that if preferred please let me know!

Thank You
