The cover lists the airflow as going from up to down, doesn't this seem incorrect? The fan/motor is below and it feels like the fan is pushing air up into the air vents.

Does the cover list the air flow incorrectly, or am I crazy? I want to position my filter with the correct side up.

Thanks

my dealer [tempe,az] has the door for $12, filter for $30...got the filter from auto parts store [$15].. fram 3712, don't bother paying extra for the charcoal filter, there is so little activated charcoal available to filter out odor.... its depleted after 20 minutes of absorbing road odors..

Will the kit for the 2013s work in a 2014 Sport?

Okay this is the third thread I'm posting on regarding the cabin air filter for a 2014 RAM 1500 Laramie crew cab. I ordered the kit from Geno's and told them what my truck is. The kit came with a Wix filter #24578. It is 5/8" wider than what the cut-out needs to be. I don't see how this will fit so reluctant to make the cut. Left a message with Geno's asking if they sent the wrong filter - yet to hear back. The filter is 8.5" wide. I see some have used the Wix 24513 - can anyone tell me what the front measurement is (width)? Thanks

Okay I checked manufacturer specs on a few filters. Looks like all the ones people have made reference to are approx. 8.5" x 7.5" and 0.98 to 1.05" thick. I'm wondering now if everyone is putting the filter in sideways as in short side to the front/rear. It would seem to be not wide enough and allow quite a bit of air to go around it unless it ends up flush against the blower. I assumed it was long side facing front/rear since the photos I've seen on installs shows the part number with the arrows for direction of air flow on
