Default Does air suspension make it underground parkable?

I am in the city a fair amount and stuck with underground parking as my only option for blocks. I am thinking that with the 6'3" lowered height, I can get into lots of garages that will not allow 6'6" standard height.

Anybody with the air suspension have this experience?

Dan

attention, after a lapse of time the vehicle returns to its standard height, does not remain at a low level.

Yes this is a big reason why I bought the air suspension. I use exit/exit mode daily to get into an undergrund parkade at work. Any other new 4x4 truck on the market is to tall.

What BS...you don't know what you are talking about. The truck stays in exit/entry mode until you drive faster than 24 kph or push the button to raise it. Time hasn't nothing to do with it.

You will be perfectly fine. I will be in the same situation as you when my Truck arrives. As long as you do not go faster then 24Km/hr in the underground it will remain in entry/exit mode. you will also need to always remember to bring it down to entry/exit mode well before entering as it will take some time to completely lower. all the while making sure to be traveling slower then 24Km/hr

Though according to the RAM 1500 Spec guide the overall normal ride height on a 6'4 CC with 20" tires is only 77.5 inches which is just over 6'4 and is enough to fit Underground parking lots with 6'6 Clearance as I triple checked this as that is the clearance I have at my works underground in Toronto.

So it should be fine with 2" clearance without lowering it. though I will probably lower it anyways to have extra clearance and be on the safe side. specially if there any bumps or high spots in the garage.

Is there not a "lock" feature to keep it locked in entry/exit?

On our Land Rovers, if you hold the button for 3 seconds, it locks the suspension in Access height, so if you're driving in a parkade and do go over the speed limit, it wont raise the vehicle.

Also, I've yet to come across a parkade or underground parking that my truck doesn't fit in. The closest I've gotten was at West Edmonton Mall, and the antenna would hit and scrape.

I have to wonder if the Satellite Antenna height is figured into the Clearance height

It should be as it states overall height in the RAM 1500 Spec guide

the closest would be to set it at desired height then disable it using one of the service modes such as Transport mode Though because I haven't received my Truck I can't confirm it holds that position or default to normal ride when it gets disabled.
