Default New truck

Just bought a 2011 1500 4x4Sport with 3.92 gears all stock. I'm wondering what the general consensus on the best mods are. This will mostly be a daily driver but will be towing a 5000lb horse trailer on the weekends.

This is my first truck and I'm a total noob so be easy on me.

invest in a tuner. Bully Dog preferably if you aren't doin a bunch of performance mods (cams, headers, etc)

With a tuner you can tune for towing/daily driving, have real-time monitoring of different gauges, a code reader. Things of that nature. You'll gain a few HP and MPG too. nothing CRAZY but definitely definitely worth it over any other "mods" (new intake [nothing really wrong with what you have]...put a drop in filter and call it a day). Maybe free up your exhaust some and give it a nice tone with a new muffler.

Borla
Magnaflow
Flowmaster (more sound than anything)
etc

i really only ever hear of K&N drop ins.

The reason I suggest a drop-in is because a lot of guys say the stock air-box's on the 4th gens are very efficient already. A new "Cold-air intake"...well most aren't even truly "cold air" and they are really for looks and noise. I have one..and I love it..only cuz it sounds like a jet at WOT...but that isn't for everyone

Haha the more noise the better. I'm sure there's a ton of different opinions on a CAI. I've looked at the Volants myself.
