Default 5 inch leveling block? Good or Bad

I was on ebay looking at leveling kits for my truck. I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4x4. I seen a leveling block that claims to lift the front 5 inches. My question is will this leveling block do any damage to my front end as in excessive wear on parts? Also if it is a good choice as to a lift kit? I have heard of 2 and 3 inch leveling kits but not a 5 Inch and was wondering what your thoughts were? I will attach the link below. Thanks

No, that is going to mess with your entire suspension geometry. Also, the mega cab 1500's have a Dana 60 up front like the 2500 and 3500's, so they don't share the same suspension as the 1500 quad and regular cabs.

To lift IFS, you'll need a drop bracket to move the axle down so you keep your cv axles close to horizontal.

Edit: Just saw you said crew cab. I assume you have a mega cab. You'll need a kit with longer control arms, sway bar end links, track bar, springs, etc if you plan to do more than a 2-3 inch level.

This link you put up is most likely a misprint and is supposed to be 2.5". If you click on the seller and look at their sight, all their advertisements say 2.5", not 5".

yeah no way in hell they'd be selling a 5" leveling kit. plus that link is for a mega cab???

you just said you have a quad cab

why would you even want 5"...you be sitting nose high like a mother effer

get bilstein 5100s adjustable shocks. I run them on my 2007 quad cab and love them.

Glad we could help, moto. That's what this forum is all about. Throw up some pics of your truck. Before and after pics would be even better.
