Default 2002 Dodge 3500

I have a 2002 Dodge 3500 with the Cummins engine. Here's the problem. Sometimes when I turn the key to start it it makes just clicks. I can try it a few times and it will start. What would you check first, the switch or the starter?

the brushes in the starter are bad.

could be the starter solenoid as well...
