Default My 2012 R/T

Just got it last night...my first Dodge!

So far I love it, but I've got a few questions.

The navigation/stereo seems aftermarket, but I'm not positive. The fact that it accepts DVDs and there's monitors in the headrests is a major hint, but the generally simple design and Dodge logos throughout make me wonder. (Headrests in a regular cab ). And it has the ability to download music and pictures to a hard drive.

The truck had HIDs in it, but the brights wouldn't work. Before I bought it, I told them this but because of a miscommunication, they took them all out and not just the brights. Luckily they still had all the bulbs and harnesses, so now I have to reinstall. Any idea why the brights wouldn't work? And there seemed to be a delay built into the lights that had the lights wait a few seconds before firing after starting the truck at night. I know from previous HID experience, that this might be intentional to avoid flickering and whatnot on initial start-up.

Anyways, I'm really pumped to have this truck and look forward to learning a lot about it on this forum. This is my first Dodge...errr, Ram....so I appreciate the info and pics!

Wish I could explain the monitors. And did I mention the rear window has 5% tint on it? I turned one on last night and you can't see a thing through from the outside.

I'm impressed this is the stock set-up. It doesn't show my speed on it though, is that normal? There's a spot where it shows the speedo too.

The speed isn't tied to your speedometer. It calculates your speed through the GPS by dividing distance over time. A cool feature though is it also knows the posted speed limit and if you are speeding, it will display your speed in red.

Seems very strange to have monitors in the headrest of a RC?!?! I am trying to think of why they would be there

Sharp, clean looking truck. Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to the Ram family. And if you don't mind sharing, what did you end up paying for it? Let the fun begin!
