Default Old School MOPAR

Anyone around here ever contemplate fabricating an old school "Ram Air- Air Grabber" for your truck? I'm talking dashboard toggle switch that opens the hood vent- complete with shark teeth on the side...... Anyone out there picturing what I mean?
It just seems like a vararam intake is just begging for this to happen!
thoughts???

Keystone did one for the 3G but not to sure on the 4G and i dont think the 2009-2012 hoods are interchangeable with the 2013. Sounds like a good idea.

Are you talking about what Plymouth did with the early 70's Roadrunner's?

It would be pretty awesome. You would just have to fabricate a actuator system for it and make it work on the hood. The only problem I can see is clearance between the hood and Vararam intake. If you go to the link on the bottom of my last post, you can see a picture of the bottom of the hood of the Roadrunner's Air Grabber system.

Actually that type of air scoop is ineffective, proven by Chrysler's own Ramchargers. You have to go a lot higher up to catch pressure air. But it would look cool. I have the Mopar hood scoop and cut 2 big holes thru the hood for air. Air actually comes out of the scoop. Never get a drop of rain thru it, but it help let hot underhood air out.
