Default Lift kit help

http://discountautoperformance.com/6...m-1500-99.html

Does anyone know if this lift kit would work on a 2010 1500 Laramie? And if so, is it going to leave me with a rake or a nice leveled out look?

If there is a rake does anyone know of a nice 4-6" lift that one of our vendors offer that leaves me truck lifted and nice and leveled? I don't wanna have to buy a lift and billsteins if i can avoid it!

Or I was thinking of getting these:

http://www.ridefox.com/product.php?m...itfit#fitguide

Just to confirm they are height adjustable?

And possibly add a body lift. This route would save me money because my buddy off my frac crew use to install lifts and he said he would install it for me aslong as there is no cutting involved and I believe height adjustable shocks + body lift = no cutting involved, nice level finish (no rake), and the 4-6" desired (not sure on what height I want yet)

I'm honestly not a huge fan of the ProComp lift for the 4th gen Rams. Many others will agree. How they lift the rear of the truck is not ideal IMO.... it's essentially spacers underneath your factory coil springs. Looks really hokey to me. Two other great options are the RCX or BDS kits. RCX if you're on a bit of a tighter budget and want a bigger bang for your buck. Or BDS if cost doesn't matter to you as much and you want to fork out for slightly better quality. Both RCX and BDS to give you more lift than the ProComp as well.

Most lift kits will leave you with quite a bit of rake. If you want your truck dead level you will need to add adjustable front struts such as the Bilstein 5100's. The fox coil overs that you posted would work as well but I'm assuming they are A LOT more money. They would definitely be a great option on top of the suspension lift to level your truck out.

I personally would not do the level and body lift. I'm not a fan of body lifts at all. It makes a lot of stuff on your truck look "off" and with one installed you're just asking for things to become misaligned and squeak all over the place. Plus even with a level and body lift you aren't going to achieve the same height as a leveled lift. You'll be about 2" lower....

How come your buddy won't install a lift if there's cutting involved? On the 4th gen Rams there's not very much cutting and the instructions come with templates to put on which tell you exactly where to cut. Very simple....

He doesn't wanna mess anything up which I don't blame him. How do you figure that it would be 2" lower? How so?

Fair enough, but like I said, it comes with templates and is very easy to do. I wouldn't worry about that part of it too much.

The math says it will be 2" lower.... We'll use those fox coil overs as an example. You can get 2" of lift out of those coils. If you added a 3" body lift on top of that you'll be at 5" of lift. Now if you take the 6" RCX kit and then add Bilstein adjustable shocks and set them at 1.4" to be level you will be at 7.4" of lift. So 2.4" taller than the level and body lift. Even if you put the Bilsteins at 0.7" to keep a bit more rake you're still 1.7" taller than the body lift.

Oh I see, well I really only wanted 4" in total. 5" would be alright too. What are good body lift kits anyways?

Again, I'm not really a fan of body lifts so I haven't read up on them too much.... I know both Rough Country and PA make 3" body lifts. When it comes to body lifts you aren't going to see much of a difference between the different manufacturers. They're all pretty basic.

I'm pretty happy with my performance accessories 3" body lift. The kit was pretty comprehensive and on the 4th gen rams its hard to tell it even has a body lift. The place I had it installed is what gave me the most trouble (idiots calling themselves a 4x4 shop). I ran a leveling kit and 3" bl for awhile for 5.5" of lift. I wish I had seen those fox shocks before I did my bilsteins and will probably get them if I can find more info about them.

To correct this.
RCX only has a 1.25" kit that is their own
PA has the 3" kit
Now RCX on their site carries PA body lifts, so it appears to be theirs. But they do list the manufacturer there

OP, if you need a body lift, let me know
They are have been hot as of late
