I have true dual exhaust on my truck since January never had an issue till tonight. I was running 305/45r22's on my truck till yesterday. I decided to go to a 33/12.50r20 mud tires to beef it up, so tonight I decide to open it up from a dead stop and when it reaches the highest point I get a popping noise come out of the tail pipes. Is this cause the tires are so much heavier? I've never had this issue running my 305/45r22's. so as of tonight I'm definately putting my 22's back on. Any feedback would be great
Has nothing to do with the tire size. It's just the pressure being released inside the exhaust as others have said. All engines do it, you just notice it a lot more once you have an aftermarket exhaust. Nothing to worry about.
