Believe me, I don't care if he was offended. He doesn't care about me at all so I have to take care of myself. He wants the money, I want to be happy in my new truck and that measly $300 would have been over my head every time I drove the truck. I can't say I blame him since its his wallet he is putting money in by selling me the truck for as much as possible. I think I would make a good sales person. I might not score big on every sell but I would make a lot of sells to make up for it by giving the best price I honestly could to people so they could tell their friends. If I make $500/sell then I'd be happy and so would the buyer. I would also be on these forums learning everything I could about what I'm selling so that when a question is asked I could answer it and never have to say that I don't know, unless its just an off the wall question.

I know. This was a learning experience for me. Next time I purchase a car I will be completely prepared for it. This time around I had no intention on buying and was actually looking for a 2012 at a great price. After test driving the new truck with the new radio and everything I was set on a new 13 instead. I didn't do much research before hand and ordered what I wanted. Live and learn this time but I am happy and can't wait to see my new truck!

They tried the $300 price increase on me when I ordered a 2005 GT Mustang, (long gone-2 Challengers in the garage BTW). I told them I have a signed purchase agreement and I won't pay it! They backed off, Typical dealer tactics, don't pay it. Be nice but just say no and sit there, it will go away.

My dealer tried something similar on me, except it was way more than $300.. I kept all my paperwork. I stood firm, things got heated for awhile. I prevailed and got the truck at the agreed upon price, but I will never deal with them again. A person should be treated better than that when buying a $50,000 truck

It is depressing to read about all of these "shady" dealers. But there ARE good dealers out there who will be honest and work with you and your financial constraints (if you have any). My dealer has been in business for 85 years in the smallest of small towns, so word of mouth is HUGE. No B.S. there, no false or misleading discounts, and no "phantom" price increases. Just honest people who have earned the 5-star Chrysler award 32 years and running. But, as stated above, if you do not feel comfortable with ANY deal stand up, thank them for their time and walk away.

I see the delivery charge went up $100. At first I thought it was fuel price increase. Now I think it is a storage fee. It has to cost Ram to have all these trucks stored in rail yards and at Warren for all these extra weeks.

At the end my dealer did it right. If it was a finance mistake or not I will never know for sure but all that matters is that its corrected now and before my truck arrived.

That sounds the same as mine. I ordered a Ram SLT with all the door ops and window electronics and when it came in I had an ST with manual everything. they told me that was what I ordered and we had the paperwork to show them they where wrong. They got mad at the salesman for giving us that paperwork before we left. we ended up taking the truck back and they pulled a truck that had been ordered by someone else and gave it to me. They said it would cost me 12,000 more than what I ordered , but my wife works for the government and deals with purchasing all day so they ate the 12,000 and I got the TRX4 for the same price.

You're not kidding. I would have been pissed if that was my truck they gave to somebody else. Sounds like this dealership needs to go away.
