Default 1999 ram does not start in hot weather

My 1999 ram will start and run for 20 minutes,die cool off start run for 20 minutes, die cool off start over and over.. The engine is at normal temp. I also loose my gauges. I had a remote start/alarm installed when it was new.. Help.

Sounds like the Dallas Cowboys Syndrome to me.

Next time, check the cat converter for excessive heat.

Could be two separate issues but I'll admit, I'm just guessing here.

(edit) is the CEL on? because it sounds indicative of a bad O2 sensor. Try unplugging them and taking it for a ride.
