Besides the good advice already given about vent tubes, you should try and pay attention to the fan too. I'm actually not even sure what kind of fan setup the '13s have, but I've seen electric fans get killed by deep water crossings before. A couple of the guys I go Jeeping with that have electric fans have installed switches to manually turn them off before a deep river crossing.

Did anyone have any joy with the bent tubes??
I also note there is a great big wiring loom connection under the drivers side chassis. What a stupid place to put an electrical connection!!!

My front diff vent tube is right up beside the oil dipstick I believe. That would be high enough I'd think.

So I called ram canada and got the official wading depth of the 2014 ram 1500.....

And the answer is zero!

Do not under any circumstances take your ram in any water I was told or it would void the warranty. Wow I replied. 60k on a brand new truck only to be told it can't go in any depth of water!

They tell you ZERO, that way they can't be held Liable

I believe the Owners Manual has a section on water xing

Power Wagon Off Roading is on Page 452

Page 461 is for all other vehicles

I would suggest that you watch other vehicles crossing things like water, mud, steep inclines, etc.
If you intend to cross water or mud that you are unsure about, hook a longer tow strap solidly to your tow point, it can be a real B**** having to duck your head & shoulders under the surface to hook it up after the fact

If you are fording water & your engine dies, think hard before trying to restart the engine, hydro locking your engine is not a good thing

on a stock high truck don't go deeper then lug nuts. trust me I find out the hard way by getting run off the road. the water was up to the bottom of the fenders almost to the gas tank filler and it cost me big time
