Default Plasti-dip grille!?

Ok, so I've never use plasti-dip but I'm tempted to cuz I've had enough of all the chrome up front (grille, bumper). My question is 1. Will it look retarded against the black paint of the truck? 2. Can I plasti-dip my bumpers as well!? Thx in advance

Well the quick answer is yes, it can be done.... but you have to remember it is only plasti-dip. If you put it on the front of your truck it's going to look pretty bad pretty quick because of all the rocks and debris that will hit it. It's going to start chipping and flaking right away.

I also think plasti-dipping the chrome bumpers looks ridiculous. Especially if you have a black truck because they won't match at all. JMO.

Haven't done my bumpers yet, but they are on the short list. My grill, however, has been done for a couple months now and the dip is holding up great. A couple of washings and still no issues. I have had to touch a few places up, but nothing major. A couple of squirts and it's good as new. Did my rims as well.

i had plasti dip on my sport for about 3 months, still looked like the day i sprayed it. and my civic has had the grill plastidip for almost 2 years, and it still looks flawless. the civic drives about 60 miles of gravel roads every night.

I have plasti-dipped every bit of chrome and emblems on my Ram and they have held up great.. Did the grill several months ago and drive about 140km of hwy driving a day and the only touch up I ever have had to do was where the grill meets the bug guard. Bumpers have also held up excellend but there is a few spots I want to touch up which were caused by me not being to careful with my taping from the chrome to the plastic.. And I also ran out of plasti-dipp as soon as the back bumper was done so couldn't do touch ups and haven't had time to restock.

Seriously contemplating doing my whole truck for a complete murdered out look.
BTW.. Grill has also survived me taking the truck mudding and offroading.
