Default Power fold mirrors

Can someone tell me if the power fold mirrors mean they actually have a motor to fold them in or just that they have turn signals and defrost or something? I noticed the sport comes with power folding mirrors and have been meaning to ask this for a while. Ill see for myself in a few hours but I like to k ow things ahead of time.

They fold in with a button. At least that's how the longhorn I test drove was.

The mirrors on my laramie have a button you can push and they have a motor that folds them in
GU4S Power Multi-Function F/Away Mirrors is what it says on my build sheet

I have a 2013 sport and they fold in with a push of a button. Quite nice.

That is will be nice when going through the bank drive through in the rain and even more so when going to my local touchless car wash where the truck will just barely fit through the test frame with mirrors out!

They are also standard in the Outdoorsman package and part of the Luxury Group you can add onto an SLT/Big Horn.

Is this new for the '13? My '11 outdoorsman does not have that feature and it has the luxury group with the garage door opener.

Not sure if it's a new feature or not, but I love the power folding mirrors. I have made a habit of pushing the button every time I park my truck on public roads or parking lots.

I did the same thing on my Yukon which had the power fold in mirrors. I do miss this on my Ram. I usually manually fold them in now, especially when I am camping and everyone is running around the truck and wacking the mirrors with their bike helmets.

Is this something that can be purchased and installed on the truck? I know I would need to also add the button on the door to get them to move in and out.

If you have a 13 with tow mirrors:
Your tow mirrors are manual fold--not electric
13 was the first year the temp sensor was put in the mirror housing
13 standard mirrors are all electric fold

The tow mirrors and the standard mirrors in 13 are NOT interchangeable. The wiring is different and so are the plugs. You will either have to many wires for the plug or not enough wires for the plug. I assume you can shade tree it somehow but when I talked to a long time mechnaic for Dodge and asked about rewiring it to work and he just rolled his eyes and said the computer would be a problem and you would probably get a warning light on the dash.
