Default 11 ram sport Leveled 35's bottoming out

I just got this truck not long ago so don't know much about it. First couple days I noticed if it hit a bump on a interstate the truck acted like it wanted to jump off the road ( left and right) Figured balljoint took it back to the dealer and they came to the same conclusion install two new ball joints.

Side to side jumping is gone but the truck just seems unreasonably soft. I hit a bad spot in the road and it just feels like its bottoming out slams hard. I hit the same bump in my wives f-150 and it just rolls right over it no issue. Both trucks are on 35's both same load ratings. Hers does have more sidewall as the rims are only 16" as I recall.

Truck is only leveled no other suspension mods 65k on the clock. Kinda looking for some input. Back shocks? also noticed I got some shimmy at 80 mph going around turns when I have three in the back seat. Just me or a passenger and no shimmy.

Any advice would be appreciated.

After some internet investigations I decided to order a full set of bilstein 5100's. Use the shock to level the truck and remove the Leveling kit.

The bilsteins made a big difference in the ride quality on the front of mine. I have t used a spacer type leveling kit, as both of my dodges I have used the bilstein 5100's. I think you will be a lot happier with the ride after the switch. I haven't put the bilsteins on the rear yet, as I am still considering putting about a 1 inch spacer on the rear with the air bags.

On a side note, if you want to drive mine with them to see how it drives just let me know.

Thanks Travis. Hopefully the shocks will be here this week. Just got to remove the leveling kit and set the 5100's to the same settings to make sure the truck is level.

I set mine of the 2.8 setting. It is just a little higher than the rear, but I think it will settle some. Also with the rear air bags in, i think it will be pretty level.

That was a question I was going to ask too.. The leveling kit unknown height until I take it out not even sure who makes it. My front good it seems right now. I wonder if I should by some spring spacers for the rear just to keep it level. With 35's its safe to assume it 2.5 but who knows.

I just did mine and set the shocks at 2.8, still had 3/4 inch rake after the alignment was done. I have air lift bags in the rear and new rear billsteins as well.

After taking a measurement I have a good bit of rake still, looked close but the front is a good 1 lower than the back so with the 5100's at 2.8 and removing the leveling kit It should be close to level.

thank for the info. Got a set of black westin oval step rails will post up when i get them installed.
