Default Truck seems slow for my mods

I was posting a discussion in the drag racing category, wanted to stop by here and see if I could get some more opinions. I have 2010 qc, 3.55 gears, with vararam, moes 87 tb, mufflex, superchips 91 tune and 180 stat. So I was data logging my times with the sc and I was getting 2.74 60 ft, 10.02 @ 77 and 15.14 @ 95.it was on open road , it is in the high90s here in Houston, but I was still expecting a little more for what I have like mid 14s, any ideas?

For your mods, being a QC w/ 3.55s, and a DA that high, you're right where I'd expect to be. The 13-14sec times that you see on here are typically reg cabs or ones that have engine work/running a power adder. My '07 QC was running mid 13s with heads/cam/100 shot, so you're about where you should be. It was the DA that really killed your times though.

Don't go by what the programmer is telling you bring it to the track. Them are off I was getting 15 second quarter mile when actually at the track I got 14.7 and best to date is 14.5@96 quad cab 2011. 3:55 gears muffler Change throttle body full k&n air intake 180 thermo and diablo white lighting tune with spare and tail gate off running in 4x4 for good take off. Cool temps that night like 55 degrees

practice on your takeoff, 2.74 60ft time is probably hurting you the most. That's a high 14 second truck the way she sits for sure

Weight has everything to do with it. A RC weight 800lbs less than a QC which is about 200lb less than a CC. It's all about your power-to-weight ratio, and we're trying to accelerate 5900lbs with the aerodynamic equivalency of a brick. Going back to basic physics F=ma, so if you want to accelerate a larger mass at the same rate, you need more force, and force is created by generating torque/horsepower.

Density Altitude. Basically, the closer you are to sea level the denser the air, which has more air to be used in combustion. The colder the temps the denser the air. In drag racing we use DA to account for the variations of altitude/temperature between tracks in an attempt to create equivalencies for comparison. My home track is at 3000ft, so the air is much thinner compared to a track at sea level, and if all other factors are the same (temp, track prep, launch) then my truck would be faster at the sea level track just because of the air density.
