After finally weighing all the features-to-prices with many of the double DIN's out there, I'm looking hard at the JVC Arsenal KW-ADV65BT. Anxious to start getting more components installed.

Figured I'd chime back in and give an update on the Foxbox now that I've had it a while. Long story short is if I were doing it over again, I'd definitely go with the Net Audio offering. Not that I think it would sound much better than the fox, but my guess is it would just be much better built.

Can't really say I'm very impressed with the build quality. Although, given the materials used, I'm not surprised with the issues I'm seeing either.. I started hearing a horrible vibration recently coming from the box, and reduced bass, which was getting worse with time. Here's what I found today.

You can actually see the one, yes, one VERY small staple holding the entire sub mount board to the top main board. At least on this half where it's splitting. Is glue all that expensive these days? Can't imagine why it failed.. smh.. Not caring about the appearance at this point, I drove many screws down from the top panel into the board below. Sounding pretty good again.. for now. The box will probably be swapped out for something different soon.

Yeah man, shame too because it sounded pretty good when first installed.. I just don't think it'll hold up over time with the power I'm currently running to it - which I actually plan on increasing a bit shortly.

I emailed Net Audio a little while ago and quickly received a reply from Paul. Looks like I'll be placing an order with them shortly.

Around $500 for a 2x12" box right?

Yeah, right around there. After repairing the foxbox last weekend, it's now coming apart in a different area. I'm done with it. Paul mentioned that he sells a lot of his boxes to former foxbox owners. Wish I had known that before. Granted, I am anything but easy on the volume..

At any rate, Paul assured me that I'll be able to run the amount of power that I soon plan on, a bit more than I was previously with the 1500.1.

Hoping to have time to get the PHD's installed this weekend.

I actually haven't installed that either.. Or the JVC HU. Or the 4ch amp. lol. I've been toying with the idea of moving up to a 2500 for a while now to tow my rock crawler around, so I've been putting off going "all in" with the audio stuff. I think I've decided to keep the truck, so just need a full weekend to do it all.

I read about your PHD install and I'm anxious to get to it now.

I'm going to do a video demonstrating the sound quality this weekend. Copyright notices be damned.
