Exclamation **please help seat recline problems**

My 2000 Ram 2500's front seats will not recline. I took the handle off and the gear thing that the handle screws onto is completely stripped. I cannot find these anywhere online. Any places you know of? Links? please and thank you

Here is a link to car-part.com. You may also want to check with your local auto recyclers.

Don't think you're gonna be able to find just that part. You're looking for the reclining mechanism which is like a ratchet that is spring loaded. Your best bet is to drill it out and use some helicoil kit similar to this one.

That wont work because it is a gear type thing that locks into the handle

I'm thinking he's referring to the plastic handle lever being stripped. It's got 8 or 10 teeth on the cog sticking out and looks similar to a window crank handle on a camper-trailer's window crank...is that right? (@OP)
